more professions need their own version of the hippocratic oath. not for any particular ethical reason; i just think more jobs should require you to take on a specific moral code with a defining core axiom

the trolley operator's oath: if your trolley goes awry, you should always force the decision of which lives to save into someone else's hands

thinking about how people will go out of their way to have a detailed discussion with a machine just to make (let's face it, mostly mid) art, empty prose, sloppy code, or successful ad copy, but refuse to extend that to people around them.

especially neurodivergent ones, even though it's the same mental pathways. some people will poison the well of human knowledge just to avoid therapy.
